Mike Hanson (creator and Demigod of the Sha’Daa project) was interviewed as the first guest of a new blogtalkradio show: Sonar4 Mag Talk. The show aired on the web this past Sunday but you can still hear the entire interview on their web site. Mike dishes the dirt on the history of the Sha’Daa project and book and even answers the question of: “Boxer or Briefs.” I’m not sure how many of you wanted to know that but if you listen to the show, you’ll get the answer. Just plain fun and a nice job by all.

Mike Hanson (of Sha’Daa Fame) Gets Interviewed
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009Sha’Daa Tales of the Apocalypse Gets Reviewed
Friday, September 18th, 2009Just heard from Mike Hanson (Sha’Daa creator) that “Tales of the Apocalypse” (in which I have a story) has been reviewed by Dark Scribe Magazine. And it’s a good review. I even get an honorable mention. Well, I get mentioned and the reviewer seemed positive about the story so I’m taking that as being an honor. In any case, it’s a step in the right direction. Very cool. If you’re curious about the review, click on this link to check it out for yourself.

Sha’Daa on BlogTalk Radio
Friday, May 29th, 2009Tomorrow night (Saturday 5/30/09) at 11 pm Michael Hanson will be appearing on Ben Eads’ BlogTalkRadio program “Dark Fiction Show.” Mike, as you know, is the creative force behind “Sha’Daa Tales of the Apocalypse.” It should be an interesting show cause you’ll get the hear Mike explain his inspiration for the book and how he (with the help of Editor Ed McKeown) wrangled over a dozen writers (think cats) into some semblance of a cohesive whole. Just go to their website: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Dark-Fiction-Show to hear the broadcast or the show can be downloaded as a podcast after it airs on Saturday.
Sha’Daa is Here!
Friday, May 1st, 2009Five long years ago fellow writer Mike Hanson had an insane idea. He’d conceived of a story involving a “demon apocalypse” that occurred every 10,000 years called the Sha’Daa. Now the crazy part of the idea (remember, we’re writers, demon apocalypses don’t count as insane) was to invite a group of writers to write seperate adventures that would fit within the overall structure of the story. It was to be one story told by many voices and from many perspectives.
Well, the result was Sha’Daa Tales of the Apocalypse. It’s a collection of Lovecraftian horror stories that range from the truly frightening to plain old funny. The book is being published by Altered Dimensions which is an imprint of Cyberwizard Productions. It was released today and it rocks! The book can be purchased directly from the publisher here, or through Amazon.com, or Barnes & Noble.
Oh, and my story: The Way of the Warrior, features Shinzo, a Japanese monk who hasn’t learned to master anything other than his Nintendo Game Cube. Yet, the fate of humanity may rest in his trembling hands.
Sha’Daa is Coming!
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009
As you’ve all heard I’ll be one of the featured authors in a new anthology called “Sha’Daa Tales of the Apacolypse.” There’ll be a strong push to get the word out there so you will hear more about it. Like this new banner for the anthology. Cool, isn’t it? Best part is that the release date is May 1st but you can already order copies now. Just click on the banner.
Oh, and they have a brief excerpt from my story featured on the page.
Sha’Daa Tales of the Apocalypse Got Reviewed
Monday, April 13th, 2009As some of you may have heard, I have a story coming out in a “shared-world” fantasy collection called: “Sha’Daa Tales of the Apocalypse.” I wrote about how the project came together in an earlier post so just take a look for the full background. Well, despite the book’s official release date being 5/1/09, it is available from the publisher right now and it’s been reviewed. The Editor over at Staticmovement.com was kind enough to review the book and has posted her comments. What were they? Well, I won’t spoil the surprise but she did refer to me as a “Master of Fantasy.” Pretty good, huh? Just go over to http://www.staticmovement.com and look for the “Book Review.” It’s at the top of the page.
